IT STARTED IN THE SHOWER
For years, I relied on expensive, salon-grade shampoos and conditioners because they were the only ones I trusted to keep my hair looking healthy. I have naturally very fine hair, but a lot of it, and it has always been incredibly sensitive to the products I use.
Then one day, at a work event, I was gifted a small sample of a solid shampoo and conditioner bar. I tried it without expecting much and was immediately hooked. My hair felt clean, soft, and surprisingly weightless. Even better, the bar lasted far longer than I anticipated. It felt like I had discovered a smarter way to care for my hair.
So I kept using it... But very quickly, I started running into problems.
The bar would get soggy in the shower, and so much product would melt away onto the shelf. Around the halfway point, it began to crack and crumble, leaving me piecing together small fragments just to wash my hair. You were technically buying a full bar, but only part of it felt truly usable. My shower soon filled with broken pieces, and honestly, it looked messy. Travel made it worse. I once packed a wet bar in a plastic bag and opened it to find a foamy, softened disaster.
I remember thinking, there had to be a better way. So I set out to design and formulate it because I genuinely wanted this product... and 2 years later, here we are!

DESIGNED WITHOUT COMPROMISE
The first step was rethinking the format. I wanted something that felt good in your hand, stayed clean in the shower, and could be tossed in a bag without a second thought. That’s how the twist-up design came to life, designed to be easy to use from the first swipe to the last.
Then came the formulas, and that process took time. I spent nearly two years testing and refining, adjusting textures, ingredients, and performance until everything worked exactly the way it should. The shampoo needed to lather well and leave hair feeling nourished, while the conditioner had to glide on effortlessly and leave hair soft and healthy. It was far more challenging than we initially imagined.
Traditional bars allow you to lather from every angle, but a twist-up format exposes only the surface at the top, so the formula had to release the right amount of product with each swipe. Creating something that performed beautifully in this format was not easy, but getting it right was non-negotiable.
